Hi, I'm Alex Dzhaun — the hands, heart, and laser behind DZ Woodshop.

My journey started as a woodworker. I loved working with my hands and creating things from scratch. But over time, I found myself wanting more — more precision, more detail, more ability to bring a vision to life exactly as I imagined it. That search led me to laser engraving, and I never looked back.

A Veteran-Owned Business Built on a Different Path

I served six years in the military, and that experience shaped everything about how I approach my craft — the discipline, the attention to detail, and the commitment to doing things right. When I started DZ Woodshop, I brought that same mindset with me.

But here's the thing: I've never been one to follow the crowd. I don't want to make what everyone else is making. At DZ Woodshop, I'm constantly looking for products that other crafters aren't using, or finding ways to take a familiar product and make it look completely different. My goal is simple — if you've seen it everywhere, you won't see it the same way here.
